High vocal notes, pounding drums, kick-ass guitar riffs, and a powerful bass player. 17Crash has set the world on fire, on the highest stairs of Heavy Metal. Grab your chair or jump onto the table, this album will wake you up for a long! This is good, really good! A masterpiece 100/100.

This is pretty high quality heavy rock music filled with expert musicianship, great choruses, great verses too, and more or less constant greatness, in fact.

‘Stamina’ is professionally delivered with a production so sharp and metallic that if handled wrongly, the listener will cut themselves as the band explore themes of endurance, resistance and survival instead of girls, girls, girls which gives ‘Stamina’ some really enjoyable staying power.

The leap, the growth this band has gone through is tangible and it is a pleasure for us to witness so.

THROUGH HELL AND BACK is the band’s third full-length album and one that finds them continuing to evolve and refine their sound. The glam/sleaze rock style is still present, but this now is mostly hard rock/lite metal with a healthy dose of AOR. This combination gives 17 Crash a catchy feel that elevates them beyond the typical drooling 80s LA glam band.

There are several highlights throughout this release, so my ire at the length of “Change Your Way” didn’t last too long. From the bluesy intro of “Bite the Freedom” (which features a tasty change up in the pre-chorus), through the effective ballad “Don’t Surrender,” all the way to the HEAVY “Voice In The Night,” which is probably the most modern sounding song on the record; there isn’t a falter I can find. Like the artwork in Florence, guys…let’s keep this shit alive.

A good cover, the production is good, although the keyboards do not have more presence, since it is something totally justifiable: They are at the right level for a band that does not qualify as melodic or similar, but that executes it quite well. It surprises that point of originality to give that twist on the album without you can think that it is out of place. And as we must support our Italian brothers, if possible with a disc that gives us a few doses of energy, these days, can be a good option to buy.

Yep, this is yet another extremely interesting release!! 17 Crash is a band that stays focus to its 80's influences (hair metal, glam, sleaze, e.t.c.), no doubt 'bout that! These guys put, also, heart, soul and muscle to their music and, at the end, they create a damn solid album that can't be missed by any fan of the melodic hard rock sound in general.

17 CRASH bet on a style less and less appreciated and that bands like them are trying to make us bring. Why not?

They are clearly displaying the traits required for a melodic hard rock band with the obvious influences that they cite themselves being Guns n’ Roses, Motley Crue and L.A Guns, the latter a source for the band’s name from the L.A guns song of the same name.

These five guys from Livorno, Italy have the sound and the attitude to perfectly pull off the sleazy late ’80s Sunset Strip style.
